Meet Ava Adalind!

Our precious little Ava Adalind Green was born on Saturday May 28th, 2011 at 2:48am. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She's a happy, healthy little girl and we love her to pieces already. We've really enjoyed the transition into parenthood thus far and are looking forward to enjoying summer with her!

Lots of people have asked me where we got her middle name from -- it was a new name to me, as well. Her dad picked it out for her and we kept it as a surprise until her birth! The name Adalind has origins in Holland and Germany, and is a common name in Europe. So, it is a special name to us as it honors our heritage and I hope it will be special to Ava since it was picked just for her by her Daddy :)  I think it's beautiful!
